Karen Mathews MA, PHR is a recognized author and small business consultant specializing in helping leaders achieve transformation for themselves, their teams and businesses. She recognized that leaders struggle to be effective until they learn to manage themselves and their stress effectively so she wrote Conquer Stress in the Workplace Now!.

A psychologist by education, and engineer by training Karen is a successful business leadership and change consultant who uses neuroscience to achieve behavior change. Additionally, seeing the need for HR and Business Partner support in the small business arena, in 2010 she launched Small Business HR Services. She and her team offer the full range of HR services to small business employers located in California.

She has her Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology, BA in Business Management, Master NLP Practitioner and Coach Certification from California NLP, and certified as a Professional Human Resources professional through HRCI.
